12 x 10 in graphite pencil

This Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was drawn for Liz Lewis in graphite pencil on Italian Fabriano paper. Mali has the most wonderful ears and I felt that graphite pencil would allow me to portray her coat beautifully.

Liz emailed me to say "It’s unbelievable just how much the pencil drawing captures Mali ’s character and the detail is amazing, it brings her to life."



My graphite drawings are drawn in great detail and take a considerable number of hours to produce. My drawing method allows me to portray subjects with sensitivity and feeling and it never ceases to amaze me how stunning a graphite drawing can be. I find graphite particularly useful for portraying black or dark coloured animals but would be delighted to consider any subject in this medium.
